Hello everyone! It's been since Saturday night that we've had Max home. He is doing well: eating regularly, loves to snuggle, and really enjoys his swing.
He had his first doctor's visit on Monday - they call it a well-baby checkup, and do them a couple days after they discharge kids from the hospital. He will have another checkup with the eye doctor and respiratory doctor as routine follow ups to make sure his continues to progress. For preemies with immature lungs like Lil Maxwell, the doctors always keep watch on proper retina and blood vessel development due to the extra oxygen he is getting. So far he has been totally fine which is great news.
He continues to get his puffers to help his lungs four times a day for now but the hospital says he is a shining example of how far medical technology has come. We are so proud!
He is such a happy little guy (except yesterday when he had bad gas!), we just hope he gets into a better rythmn with his nightime sleep. But that's totally to be expected after only a few days home now.
